3. All Games Considered – Episode 114 Featuring a general overview of many Old School products

4. RPG Circus – Episode 9 Featuring a guest appearnce by James Edward Raggi III of Lamentations of the Flame Princess

5. The Games the Thing – Episode 061 featuring an interview with Matt Finch of Swords & Wizardry fame.

There is more to come, maybe even some actual play podcasts.

Made some progress on my ML74 Fortean creature book I now call the Cryptid Codex

Here is the cover:

Cryptid Codex Cover

I don’t know if it’s gonna change yet, though I do like the image. The creature on the cover is a Cyclopean Ass in case anyone is curious.

And here is a random sample from the newly renamed Cryptid Codex page, the layout of which I revised at the suggestion of chgowiz.

CC Sample Page

Hopefully it’s still easy to read while reclaiming some wasted space. I plan to print this thing as well, though not through the normal channels such as lulu.com etc. It’s gonna be digest size something like 5.5 x 7.25 inches.

Stay tuned for more.

Well howdy folks, its been a while. What can i say life and or work get in the way of truly important things, gaming…you know. But I haven’t been idle. My game group and I have had two sessions of Matt Finchs most excellent Tomb of the Iron God. Other than a character death everything went well, that zombie was lucky with the knife.

But now things are gonna get weird.

I’ve drawn up a list of Fortean Rumors for inclusion in my Age of Lemuria campaign, you know typical stuff Mothman, Men in Black, Hairy Bipeds, etc. Just enough info to get you started, weird out your PCs and or start them down a blind alley.

I really like Judges Guild products, I wasn’t around when they were originally released, but I love reading over them now.

Their adventure modules, reference material and MAPS! So I made THIS .

This map is in PDF format and is 22 by 17 inches at 300dpi

In addition to Judges Guild I was inspired by a post by Amityville Mike over here.

So anyway this is another freebie for OD&D S&W or anything that uses hex maps at 5miles per hex.

Go to Kinkos or Staples and print `em out to your hearts content.

Here is a screen shot:

Mmm…crunchy, I might be losing it. After having decided to go Old School and run a few games of Swords & Wizardry, I’ve come up with what I think will be a nifty tool to help me keep track of time during each session.

I call it Dungeon Runner , it breaks the game day down into Rounds and Turns allowing the Judge to mark off time as necessary. I always used to suck at remembering all the details and relied on a liberal use of Handwavium to get by. But that was back in the day, I’m more organized now. I haven’t actually used this thing yet, but I’m looking forward to it. Hopefully it’ll be as nifty to use as I thought it would be when I got inspired to make it in the first place.

There are probably other things out there, I just WANTED to create one myself.

HOW ABOUT THIS?

Basic DND Cover

AND THIS IS WHAT SHE GAVE ME.

I love it! I’m gonna use it for a personalized copy of the Microlite74 RPG system. Yeah, I did the layout and logos, but the rest is all her. Nifty Stuff.
